SAFE WAYS TO CLEAN PATIO FURNITURE WITH VINEGAR

There are two kinds of vinegar which are available in the market. One for cooking and another with a higher acidity. Low acid vinegars are used commonly for cooking but can also be used for cleaning soft surfaces such as fabric. Higher acid vinegars are used mostly as a cleaning solution for commercial use and for clean patio furniture.

LOW ACID VINEGAR

5% Acidity

  • Pillows
  • Seat cushions
  • Patio umbrellas
  • Outdoor furniture covers
  • Outdoor shade

CLEANING VINEGAR

10% to 20% Acidity

  • Wicker surfaces
  • Plastic surfaces
  • Finished wood surface

SEPARATE SEATING

  1. Put a substantial amount of cornstarch into a small bowl. Add a teaspoon of lemon essence into the starch and mix into a paste.
  2. Spread a generous amount of paste onto the stained surface to clean. Leave for approximately 30 minutes.
  3. Spread a substantial amount of vinegar on a rag and wipe off the hardened paste on the surface until it lathers.
  4. Wash the surface with soap and water until it’s clean of cornstarch and vinegar odor.
